The Gables is a spacious family run 4 star country home only 4 km from Arklow, County Wicklow. Renowned delicious home cooking, on arrival you can unwind over complementary tea, hot scones and homemade jams and the opportunity of savoring a little of what life at “The Gables” is all about. Set in attractive gardens, rich in breathtaking scenery exuding a sense of peace and tranquility.
We are located in the”Garden of Ireland” and are an ideal base for Avoca, Avondale, Glendalough, Powerscourt, Mount Usher Gardens and Wicklow Historic Gaol.

Directions to the gables
“The Gables” is approximately one hour drive from Dublin and Rosslare and 4km from the maritime town of Arklow.
From Dublin:
Take the N11 to Arklow, proceed up Main Street, straight through the small roundabout at the top of the town(take the Coolgreany Road) and follow “The Gables” signs turning right for Johnstown.
From Rosslare:
Take the N11 to Arklow. “The Gables” is signposted 2nd left at the ‘Arklow South Roundabout’ (exit 21) before entering Arklow. Proceed in the direction of Ballynattin and follow “The Gables” signs.
