Description
The Bridge Tavern has been fully restored to its glory by the Byrne Family. The building dates back to the early 1700s and was the birthplace of Captain Robert Halpin, who laid the first trans Atlantic cable to North America. The Bridge Tavern sits alongside the Vartry river where it rambles into the Irish sea. The location offers beautiful walks by the beach and is also close to all attractions in Co. Wicklow. You can also walk along Wicklow Harbour and view the fishing boats as they come and go.
At the Bridge Tavern, we offer tastefully decorated ensuite accomodation. Delicious home-cooked food is prepared by our award winning chef and can be enjoyed in our Riverside Bistro or Open Air Courtyard.
Sample our broad range of Irish whiskies in our snug bar. Enjoy a drink in our comfortable lounge where nightly entertainment is provided, including a weekly traditional Irish music set.
