The National Adventure Centre at Tiglin is owned and run by the Association for Adventure Sports (AFAS), the national co-ordinating body for a wide range of adventure sports. The Centre was opened in 1971 to fulfil the AFAS aim of making adventure sports widely available and to promote a high level of skill and safety for participants and leaders in these activities.
