If you're looking for superb accommodation in a peaceful rural setting close to Rosslare Harbour, then stay at Old Orchard Lodge. It is situated on a quite country road in an area called Kilrane, just a two minute drive from the Ferry at Rosslare.
This country house accommodation has five guestrooms, including a double room, three rooms with a double and single bed, and a room with a double and two single beds. All rooms are comfortable, have their own ensuite, TV, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
Old Orchard Lodge has a great location as a stopover for the ferry or as a relaxing base for touring Wexford and the southeast of Ireland.

Description

Attractions well worth a visit include Duncannon Fort, John F. Kennedy Arboretum, the Dunbrody Famine Ship, the 1798 Centre in Enniscorthy and the Irish National Heritage Park to name a few. Also closeby is the seaside resort town of Rosslare, which is popular for its sandy beach and 18 hole golf course.

 just 200 meters or 2 minute walk to bus and two pub - resturants that serve the best of Irish food. At weekends there is great music and crack in both pubs. We are 30 minute walk to Rosslare Europort and train station and the village of Rosslare Harbour which has a large supermarket bank and two hotells. Thirty minute walk also brings you to beautiful golden sandy beaches. Two minutes bring you to small shop and catholic church.

As a stopover prior to an early onward trip, the location of this house was perfect,the welcome was warm and friendly and we could not fault it. However the property itself whilst clean, was very tired and dated, and in much need of an upgrade,the room again was clean, but could do with a refresher, the bedlinen (clean) but long past its sell by date, bathroom, a challenge!. TV has 1 dodgy channel. We are sorry if this sounds harsh, we did not expect 5 star luxury, just a basic up to date standard.We could not recommend it.
