Situated on the Slaney River, Wexford is a remarkable Viking town so it is well worth discovering some of its historical attractions with many castles, monuments and abbeys scattered throughout the town. If you intend touring Wexford some places of interest to look out for include Curracloe beach, which was the scene for the film Saving Private Ryan, John F. Kennedy Arboretum and the Irish Agricultural Museum.
