Courtnacuddy Welcome Home Festival is a festival of events and activities in the locality where people from the locality and those on holiday, tourists etc. join in the celebration of traditional song, story telling, mumming, outdoor dancing, discos, barbecues, sporting activities and a car treasure hunt....

This annual event has been moved to the summer and has moved its location to Johnstown castle during renovations in the Opera House. This venue manages to maintain the real classy feel of such a prestigious event. The new venue warrants a new programme, which are all from the 20th Century and include Dvorak's Rusalka, Kurt Weill's Der Silbersee (sung in English) and finally the opera Arlecchino which is followed by a 'Ballet with song'....

With street music, kids entertainment, a farm and craft market, strawberry princesses, fabulous surroundings and much, much more, the festival is fun for all the family....

We present opera and traditional Irish music in the grounds of historic heritage houses in rural locations of the Southeast. A wine reception and picnics in the gardens complete the evening's entertainment....

The Munster Military Vehicle and Re-enactment Group are providing a wide assortment of historical military vehicles. There will also be a variety of re-enactors taking part in recreations of old wars from Irish and World history (including the American war of independence). There will also be an archery display and many other interesting events. Duncannon Fort is a museum itself and is well worth a visit at any time....
