The Dunbrody Famine Ship is a full scale replica of the three-masted barque that transported many Irish emigrants to the US and Canada over 150 years ago (between 1845 and 1870). One such emigrant was Patrick Kennedy, great grandfather of President John F Kennedy, who departed our shores in 1848.
The original Dunbrody was built in Quebec, Canada, in 1845 for the Graves family of New Ross. Features include a number of exhibitions and visitors can also experience life on board the Dunbrod...

Ros Tapestry Project

The Ros Tapestry is a mass work in progress by a team of voluntry embroiders. The project is currently not on display to the public, but will be by 2009. The 15 tapestry panels will be on display in an dedicated public space by early 2009, Check their website for further development...
