Carrigbyrne Lodge Country B and B is situated in County Wexford (Ireland), just 5 miles from the town of New Ross, near the Horse and Hound Pub/Restaurant, Ballinaboola. Our beautifully decorated home is conveniently located for touring Counties Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny which has many attractions including the Dunbrody Heritage Ship, Kilkenny Castle, Waterford Crystal, the Hook Lighthouse, Johnstown Castle, JFK Arboretum and Kilmore Quay.

From Enniscorthy
At the cross in Adamstown take a right. Continue on this road straight into Raheen. Go through Raheen village, and Carrigbyrne Lodge is the fourth house (painted black and cream) on the right.
From Cork / Waterford/New Ross
At Ballinaboola take a left. Continue on the road to Old Ross and follow the sharp bend around the house on the corner. Just after take the first right turn signposted for Carrigbyrne Lodge Country B&B. We are the seventh house (painted black and cream) on the left.

Description

Our accommodation includes 3 large en-suite bedrooms and breakfast is served in our sunroom which has superb views of Carrigbyrne Hill, the Blackstairs Mountains and Slieve Coillte. You can relax in our secluded landscaped gardens and meet our horses while enjoying a traditional cup of tea. Our traditional country-styled, family run B and B is under the expert guidance of Ian, who has worked as a chef in the hospitality since 1992 and his wife Noëlle. We look forward to welcoming you into our family home, making your stay truly memorable and should you need any advice regarding your travels we will only be too happy to help.

The B&B home was beautiful in a quiet, lovely, rural setting. I missed the usual casual layout of some fruits, juice, coffee, tea, milk, perhaps a small selection of rolls or scones on a sideboard available as we entered the breakfast room and before ordering our hot breakfast. Then again, there were only 2 rooms booked so perhaps this was not economically practical. A menu would have been appreciated. Without a menu I felt uncomfortable ordering anything other than eggs. (When traveling I really enjoy pancakes or French toast for breakfast or sometimes hot cereal.)

Very friendly people, rural and quiet environmemt, big and clean rooms and a great breakfast, you can´t ask for more. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but next time we visit the New Ross area, we will definitely stay at Carrigbyrne Lodge again.

Carrigbyrne Lodge was the first B&B I booked for our little trip through Ireland and I have chosen very well. Very nice big and cozy bedrooms, tastful furniture, lovingly decorated and very clean! We felt home at once. We had a rich breakfast which was very nice. Tabel and plates lovingly decorated. Noelle and Ian are very friendly and welcoming. A place we can highly recommend!
