The Mill Bar B&B  is situated just 7km from the town of Athlone, in County Westmeath. It can be found in the picturesque countryside on the R362 the road to Tuam, just off the N6, the main road to Galway city and the west of Ireland, making it the ideal choice as a base for touring or as a stopover.
The B&B has five comfortable bedrooms, including a double, a twin, a triple and a room with a double and single bed.

The Mill Bar is 5km off the N6, the Athlone by pass on the R362, the main Tuam road.

Description

All rooms are ensuite and equipped with a hair dryer, tea making facilities and a TV. Onsite facilities include a bar,  private car parking and a garden for guest use.
The Mill B&B has the ideal location for touring the Midlands and Shannon Region. There is an 18 hole golf course just 3km from the property, fishing at Lough Ree is just 2km and horse riding at Derwin's is just 3km. You can also enjoy day trip to visit attractions like Clonmacnoise, Athlone Castle and Locke's Distillery. The adventurous you can opt for a pleasant cruise on the Shannon or hop on the train for a guided tour of the Blackwater Bog.

I loved the athmosphere in the pub, the old walls of the Mill so carefully preserved. It was quiet and relaxing for the Champions League matches. Being on my own the proprietors were friendly and chatty and welcoming.
