You will receive a warm and friendly welcome when you arrive at this Frommer Recommended accommodation. There is also private parking, a garden and a cosy open turf fire for you to relax beside. When you stay at Moorland you are just 3km from the bustling town of Mullingar, so you won't be too far from good food, drink, entertainment and shopping.

From Mullingar follow signs for Dublin. Turn left at the first roundabout and continue straight on at the second roundabout. B&B well signposted.
Of course this historical town and its hinterland is dotted with lots of attractions, the most popular being the Fore Abbey, the castle at Castlepollard, Belvedere House and Gardens. The many woodlands and lakes that surround the town create perfect opportunities for fishing, nature trails and water sports.
Moorlands Bed and Breakfast has six guestrooms including a single room, four double rooms and a room with a double and single bed. All rooms have electric blankets and their own ensuite. the bedrooms are comfortable, Tastefully furnished and ground floor bedrooms are also available.

They were friendly, the location was great for us, easy to find (though we relied on local directions not internet). The family home feel was evident & it was bright & clean, good value for money.

I think by far this is the best way to see Ireland and stay in someone's home to understand and inject yourself into the culture and lovely ways of the Irish. Amazing stay with May and Pat.
Moorlands has the added plus of a babysitting service on request, which will allow you to enjoy a rare night out together knowing your children are happy safe and tucked up in bed. Childrens meals along with a cot are available on request. Private parkiing is available and the property is heated with central heating.
