Detached lakeside house, set in beautiful natural surroundings, on 5 acres of shoreline,with magnificent view of Lough Ree from all rooms. The house has its own Marina and offers a unique choice of hiring a Lake boat or family cruiser with the house, giving complete access to the lake.
The main attraction of this house is its unique location with facilities for boating, cruising and fishing or for those seeking a picturesque setting on a waterway with total tranquility.
Lough Ree is the second largest lake on the river Shannon and it contains many islands of varying historical significance - rich in wildlife - all accessible by boat from the house. The bay directly in front of the house is a renowned pike and coarse angling location. The river Inny flows into this bay and it is also noted as an excellent trout fishing area.
There is a choice of two 18 hole golf courses nearby - Glasson Golf & Country club and Athlone Gold club at Hodsons Bay - both located on the lakeshore and accessible by road or by boat.

Directions

Take exit 10 off M6 marked Lough Ree East. Turn right and follow the signs Cavan/Longford N55. From here it is 2 miles to the village of Ballykeeran, a further 2 miles to Glasson village and a further 2 miles to Tubberclair. Just after the Top petrol station in Tubberclair you will come to crossroads - turn left and follow signs for Lough Ree House (3.5 miles from crossroads).
