Athlone Cruisers is based at the Jolly Mariner Marina, north of Athlone, off the main Dublin to Galway road. The fleet varies from the top of the range luxury Bernadette super craft to the comfortable Fionnuala class which is ideal for two to three people at an economic price. The firms own colour brochure is available on request.

From Athlone, extensive cruising grounds extend in both directions on the river. The stretch south of the town is particularly attractive to novice skippers, offering plain sailing and plenty of places to visit. This family owned company gives all skippers tuition and a handbook before they cast off. Athlone is the nearest point on the Shannon both to Dublin Airport and to both cross channel ferry terminals in Dublin.

Location

The longest established cruising company on the Shannon, Athlone Cruisers is based on a three acre site at the Jolly Mariner Marina just north of Athlone, off the main Dublin-Galway road.

From Galway:
Take direction DUBLIN on the dual carriage way. Look to your Right as you cross the Shannon and you will see the Marina. Turn Left at Exit 3 - COOSAN immediately after crossing the river. Turn Right at the end of the slip road and follow signs from the Roundabout.

From Dublin:
Take direction Galway on the dual carriage way. Turn Left at Exit 3 - COOSAN, turn Left at the bottom of hill, follow signs from Roundabout.
