Very nice hotel with an ideal location. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, including the Waterford Crystal factory.
There was a large wedding that took over the facility in the early evening and into the night. Thus the hotel was not available for relaxing - we had to leave and find food & drink. Otherwise, would have been very nice.
I relly thaught the wireless broadband was a good and helpful idea.
Bathroom needed work to make it look cleaner
As a world business traveller I really enjoyed my stay although very brief. What a lovely view of the estuary from my bedroom window.Very close to the town centre with a lovely walk along the quay.Food in the restaurant was of High quality with good presentation. The Apple Struddle was excellent. Will defenetly come back.
Very clean
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very good
loved the location and views. Staff were also helpful in telling us of local places of interest.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that my room (202) overlooked the back of the hotel where all the tradesmen/deliveries were and it was extremely noisy from say 5.30 am. Admittedly, the noise was almost blocked out when the window was closed but when I stay again I would definitely ask for another non smoking room in a different position.
the internet access to the guests should be free or maybe at least will not charge €7.50 per hour which is total robbery, staff however are just fine, friendly in a different way.selection of buffet breakfast is very minimal. rooms we got was not a modern one, looks very contemporary old, well i guess because we were only charged €78.00 for 2 bb per night. But the main point is rooms should be renovated with a modern effect, the hallways of the rooms it's kind of look untidy, needs an improvement. the vending machine, drinks and tayto machine out the hallway is also vital, convenient to the guests instead of ordering at the bar which will cost extra money-room service of food was fine, but we were charged €5.00 per tray of room service, which was very surprising for me and my husband, coz we never come across yet of a service charge per tray, but then again, it's alright-we have paid for it anyway.
I am disappointed to read about your experience in the hotel, I would like to clarify that our WIFI is complimentary and available throughout the hotel if you have a compatible laptop, the ‘Surf Box’ in the lobby is an added facility for guests who need internet access and do not have a laptop. I would like to apologise for the obvious lack of explanation on our behalf and I will endeavour to make this information much clearer in the future.

The staff was efficient but curt...not offensive; but not welcoming. The room was clean & attractive w ith a lovely view of the water.
Entire experience was below par. Could not believe hotel of this advertised calibre was not air conditioned. Had to leave window open, which invited whole host of bugs and mosquitoes. And no face cloth in bathrooms? Service staff was indifferent.
Firstly, I would like to apologise for the shortcomings you experienced during you stay with us, unfortunately the hotel is over 10 years old and air conditioning was not a priority at the time, now it would be a big task to install and is just not feasible at the moment. General Manager, Waterford Marina Hotel
Good situation and views.
The Waterford Marina Hotel was the noisiest we stayed in during our stay in Ireland. The doors of the rooms slammed when they closed and that went on all night- no soundproofing at all. The hotel was in a very noisy area. Young people were drinking right outside our window until 5 am. Needless to stay we didn't get much sleep. My daughter who is 7 was distraught because of the noise because she was unable to sleep. I informed the reception staff in the morning but she just asked if I had informed the duty manager in the middle of the night- nothing was done. I certainly will never stay there again. The other places we stayed in Ireland were lovely. it would be nice to know someone replies to this..... Thanks
Please accept my apologies for the disappointing experience during your stay with us. That was the August Bank Holiday Weekend plus ‘Spraoi’ here in the City, the hotel was full all weekend and unfortunately there was a lot of coming and going with guests out late at night, we have two night staff on duty to monitor the noise levels and ensure that if a guest contacts reception during the night to complain about noise that the matter is dealt with immediately. I have checked both log books from the night staff and managers diary and cannot find a record of any complaint during the night. We have revised procedures for recording such issues and will do our very best to ensure similar inconveniences will be avoided in the future.
Very very clean, very pleasantly appointed and the staff were very kind, polite and helpful. A really excellent hotel.
Fantastic view from room. Friendly service in bar and at breakfast.
All in all we had a very nice stay at the hotel and found the staff and the service was excellent and we would recommend the hotel to others.
