The Strand Inn is ideally situated in a sheltered cove, its roots extend back to the 17th and 18th century when it was a notorious haunt of smugglers (rumour has it that there are still a few around). Today it retains its charm in addition to the comforts which the 20th century guests has come to expect. We have a lovely friendly pub which serves great pints, the perfect place to relax and watch the boats coming and going or kids on the beach and later in the evening a bit of song or perhaps, chat and craic! Our restaurant has a very fine reputation. We take great pride and care with our food. Fish on the menu are landed daily in the harbour opposite. We combine these with crunchy fresh vegetables and herbs, which are grown locally for us. Great steaks and fine wine - you won't be disappointed. With five golf courses on our doorstep we are ideally suited for avid golfers. We would be delighted to quote special rates for groups, halfboard or self catering.
