This family run hotel is situated on the Quay in the heart of Waterford City. Not only is it one of the oldest hotels in the country, it is one of our most historic buildings. Full of old world atmosphere, the Granville is packed with period furniture, artefacts and original paintings. A central feature if the ground floor is the Tapestry Room with fine, hand-woven tapestries on the walls while the ceiling is adorned with several magnificent Waterford Crystal chandeliers.

The Granville Hotel has beautifully decorated bedrooms. Each of the rooms are designed with the comfort and conveniences of the guest in mind. In-room facilities in the guestrooms include Internet access, Tea and Coffee making facilities, hairdryer, telephone, TV as well as an en-suite bathroom.
The hotel also has the option of reserving a luxurious suite. The suites are individually decorated and are extremely spacious. Enjoy spectacular views of the River Suir and Waterford City. Safety Deposit boxes in all rooms that will hold laptops.

It can accommodation up to 200 guests, and even offers complimentary overnight accommodation and champagne on arrival for the newly married couple. Conference Facilities
The Granville Hotel is a great location for business meetings and big events. There are two rooms available to business guests. The Parnell Suite is tastefully decorated and is equipped with flip charts, overhead projector, natural sunlight and black-out facilities. It can cater for up to 30 delegates. The Tapestry Ballroom has a very special atmosphere with tapestries lining the wall. It can be ideal for both formal and informal meetings.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and didn't have anything really to find fault with. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming and we would stay there again if we were in that area.

The Granville Hotel in Waterford was the first hotel of four that we booked for this trip to Ireland. Everything about it set the standard we expected thereafter for the rest. Reception, room and restaurant were all just right. A perfect start to our holiday in Ireland; a definite return visit is being planned!
