The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful but did not seem to have the training one would expect from a four star hotel. When I went to pay my bill there was a problem with my credit card as the car rental company had blocked out a large sum for insurance purposes and hadn't informed me.The receptionist was particularly ungracious about this situation- in fact she made me feel quite embarassed in front of other guests. Also there was a wedding the night before we left with extremely loud music playing until 2am- again not what one would expect from a 4 star establishment.
Fabulous hotel in a beautiful location.Fantastic food, gorgeous rooms and will definitely stay there again.
I thought the staff were very good and friendly - especially as I had to check in late at 10pm. I was upgraded to a suite which was a lovely treat. The pool area/changing rooms were being renovated while I was there so I did not use the pool - although it was available. I did think the gym was excellent.
beautiful exterior and quiet setting; golf course was nice; with some very pretty views of the water, but not what I expected; it had no rewal character, which other Irish courses I played seem to have. The rooms were nice, but hard to get into, and when we asked for assistance, the staff was not extremely helpful; there was no one to help with our bags and no concierege I could find- which is ok, except at a high end resort. The breakfast was pretty good but we didn't see much of the City of Waterford, as we had to be back in Dublin the next day; the scenery seemed very nice though
A very elegant hotel in a beautiful location. Wonderful service. The restaurant was excellent.
