The receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful. This counts for so much with customers. The car parking situation is not ideal. The room was comfortable, but very warm on arrival (solved by switching off the radiator).
There is no way that this facility is 3 star status. The rooms were dingy, poorly ventilated, even the t.v. had poor reception. The hotel being old and having wooden floors meant that one hears all the movement on the floor. This coupled with the fact that our neighbours had a full blown argument @2.30am where i had to call security to have the couple kept under control, lead to to a very dissapointing experience. No i will not be returning to this hotel and it cetainly was not worth the 99 Euro. Regards, Ronan McCool

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to write this review. We are very disappointed to hear you did not enjoy your stay here at Days Hotel Waterford. All our rooms are 3*** approved however the décor and style may differ. All rooms have windows for ventilation an there are 2 windows in the room in question, one opening in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. We have recently had the TV system upgraded and can assure customers that the reception has improved in all the bedrooms. It is unfortunate that we cannot control other guest's behaviour and their lack of consideration for other hotel customers and how this affected you stay with us. As on the night, security is always available to deal promptly with such interruptions.
Thank you again for your time. We would hope that you will stay with us again and that you will have a very pleasant experience when you do.John Treacy, General Manager
The rooms very lovely very spacious. Hotel staff very friendly. Bar food was delicious. Nothing to complain about at all.
Receptionist extremely welcoming, efficient and helpful
The rooms were comfortable but badly in need of redecoration as the rest of the hotel seemed to be.
Very nice staff at check in. Great location!
It was a well kept Hotel and the Staff were very pleasent. Parking is a bit of a problem but was overcome
This Hotel is very good, well located. Staff is welcoming. We have a good stay there!
clean, decent sized room, modern, central
It is obvious that the hotel is having a facelift, as the room was very clean, comfortable and modern, but the communal areas like the lobby and hallways are still in need of updating. That said the hotel is very good value for money and staff were very friendly and helpful.
We were looking for some grub on the Saturday night before we went out but didn't want a big meal, the only place there was to eat was the restaurant that you had to book, no food or snacks in the bar and we took a walk but couldn't find anywhere in the vicinity to get a snack.
Bar food is served until 8pm in the hotel on Saturday nights, there are also 4 restaurants less than 200 meters from the hotel, one of them is an Indian restaurant next door to the hotel. As regards Cafes & bars for snacks, unfortunately there are none within the vicinity that serve food after 8pm on Saturdays.
Value for money.
only problem was the heating did not work..we were going out so did not do anything about it
The bedrooms were clean and of a good size with great facilities.
It's a very good hotel to stay in for a few days. Quite central, close to bus and train stations, on the main traffic route - yet you don't notice it inside the hotel. The rooms are top and well kept. Internet access is the room is easy to connect to. Breakfast is okay - but tea and coffee are quite tasteless and flat (a different brand may do the job). A night reception service may also be useful (or one that lasts at 11pm rather than just 9pm) - especially on weekends.
The reception staff in the hotel work until 11:30 pm each evening. After the reception staff finish, the night manager can deal with any enquiries the guests may have. Our Tea/Coffee brands have been changed in January 2008.
The room was newly refurbished and very good. The rest of the hotel, however, was really dreadful - the corridors smell bad! The lift appears stuck together with sellotape! If there are plans to refurbish the rest of the hotel, that is fine, but why must it be dirty? I did not eat or drink inthe hotel so I cannot judge these facilities, but I did not want to risk it anyway!
We have recently refurbished & redecorated 1 of our elevators in the hotel, the second is being worked on at present. We did have a problem with smell in the corridors in October due to a problem with our boiler; it had been sorted within a matter of days. We do apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Room was very nice and suited our purpose and need; quite impressed with the Timber toes Bar - did not eat at the restaurant. Good location - very convenient to the activities in the city.
Very good
It took ages for the staff to get our friend another room as he had a leaking toilet. The lift was not working. The restauraunt was not good the food was over done and almost inedible
The lift in reception was serviced in April 2007 and has not broken down since. The only thing I can think of is that it was in use at the time, however, there is a second lift that takes you down to reception from all floors. As regards the other complaints, no formal complaints were made by the guest on the day or on check out, as such we have no record of them. I can only apologise for the delay in changing rooms & that they were not satisfied with their meal.
Comfortable and friendly and relaxed even though it was a bank holiday weekend!
