Days Hotel Waterford is located in the heart of the city and overlooks the River Suir.  The premium city centre location means you'll be just a short stroll from the train and bus stations and all the sights and sounds of Ireland oldest city.  The hotel has been newly refurbished and offers 130 superb guest bedrooms, free customer parking and excellent conference and event facilities.

"Spirit Health and Beauty" leisure centre is opening October 2008 and facilities will include 20 meter heated swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium, exercise suite, sauna, Jacuzzi, drench shower, steam room, complete spa for all your health and beauty treatments.

The 130 bedrooms are impressive and include features such as free broadband, multi-channel flat screen TV, in room safe (laptop size) as standard.

At junction 9, take left hand lanes, join the M9 (signposted Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow).
Continue on to Castledermot, take Carlow bypass (N9, signposted Waterford)
Continue on through Leighlin Bridge, Paulstown.
Turn left (N9 signposted Waterford)
Continute on through Gowran, Dungarvan, Thomastown. Continue through Ballyhale, Mullinavat, and enter Waterford city.
Cross the first bridge over the River Suir, you will see Days Hotel in front of you.

The hotel has 130 stylish guestrooms with a modern design and style. Each room has a tea/coffee station, direct dial phone with voicemail, flat screen TV with multi channel, iron & ironing board, in room safe (laptop size) and electronic door locks. Each room also has a private bathroom  with a power shower and hairdryer.  

For your ultimate comfort all rooms have hypnos beds with crisp white duvets. Some of our Double rooms have 'King' size and 'Super King' sizes beds. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available in all rooms. Non- somking rooms are available.

The city is renowned all over the world for is crystal and glass. Each year thousands of visitors flock to the Waterford Crystal factory to see the wonderful skill of how the glass objects are made. At the factory there is also a gift shop where you can purchase a wide range of beautiful glass and crystal which you can treasure forever.
The newly restored Granary building on the Quay provides an interesting museum, gift shop, restaurant and Tourist Centre office. A place of interest for locals and visitors. Reginald's Tower dates back a thousand years to the Viking city of Port Lairge. Open daily and contains an exhibition of related Waterford history.
Waterford Heritage Museum has a fine collection of Viking and Medieval artefacts. City Hall designed by John Roberts a Waterford architect in the 18th is the centre for the Municipal Art Collection of over 200 paintings by Irish and International artists. Open all year with guided tours
Local Activities
Old Dunmore East fishing village and harbour; Tramore (The Great Beach) with sand and sea, surfing and all year round entertainment with a racecourse and fairground activities. Annestown and many other interesting coves, attractive beaches for surfing. Sea side towns of Dungarvan, Bonmahon and Woodstown have beaches and are easily accessible to the visitor.
Walking
There are many cliff, beach, country and mountain walks to be enjoyed by those with boundless energy and those with limited abilities. There are so many options and so many lovely places that no one should be disappointed. J.F. Kennedy Park & Arboretum The Commeragh Mountains and the river Suir; Graiguenamanagh and Inistioge with the Blackstairs Mountains and the river Barrow. Rinn near Dungarvan; Where the Irish language is spoken. There are many other forest, hill and coastal walks.
