Cookstown
Tyrone
Phone: 28 867 63762

Established 1889 Situated on the outskirts of Cookstown, the club is named after Killymoon Castle, designed in 1804 by John Nash and reputedly owned at one time by King George IV, who is said to have won it on the throw of a dice. The course is parkland, reasonably flat and quite challenging. In 1891 an unknown author wrote of the then nine-hole course: "The dreary sand associated with conventional Scotch links is absent from Killymoon but only to be replaced by firm old sward and the tiresome sameness of the dunes exchanged for the most diversified views of wooded hills and valleys".
