In a 1.5km a road junction gives a good view of the conical Knockastakeen (477M) , Galteemore (the big Galtee; it is the highest at 919m) and Lyracoppul (827m) right. In 2km, having passed or delayed at two excellent hotels and a fish farm, turn left at a pub for Tipperary, 1.5 km on, near the Christ the King statue on the V high up on Slievenamuck (the Pigs Hill ) (368 m) are parking spaces for the piece de resistance: the view across the Glen - river sparkling through it - of the three peaks already noted , with Slievenamon at extreme left and the Ballyhouras extreme right.
