Enjoy a courtyard setting on the grounds of a beautiful Georgian house in Borrisokane, County Tipperary, when you stay at this superb cottage. 

The one-bedroom stone cottage has been tastefully restored and can sleep two people. It is well decorated and equipped with all modern conveniences yet still retains its old style. Features include a brick fireplace and pine ceilings. There is on-site car parking and a private west-facing garden.

Directions

From Borrisokane follow signs for Courtyard Cottages.

Coming from Nenagh on the N52 you will see a texaco petrol station at the start of the Main Street in Borrisokane. Across the road from texaco you will see our courtyard cottages sign directing you left.

Come out this road and take the third road on the right. This turn is on a corner that you have to practically go around to check for oncomin traffic before you take the right.

Come down this road and around the corner. You will see our stone entrance walls on the right and a Courtyard Cottages sign. We are in total 3 kilometres from Borrisokane. Feel free to phone if there is a problem finding us. 

Within 10kms

Borrisokane is located on the N52, the primary road through the midlands, which links the northeast with the southwest.

There are no less that four excellent 18 hole golf courses in the area while nearby Lough Derg is a haven for anglers and watersports enthusiasts.

Invigorating hill walks in the Slieve Bloom and Silvermines mountains, or in any of the Forest parks such as Portumna will appeal to the outdoor enthusiasts.

For a night out, Borrisokane has a number of pubs and restaurants while Terryglass, Portumna, Birr and Nenagh are only a short drive away.

These beautiful self catering cottages provide wonderful accommodation in the picturesque setting of Borrisokane in North Tipperary. The Courtyard Cottages are gorgeous stone cottages including brick fire place, pine ceilings, garden and private car parking for our guests. Golf and watersports can all be enjoyed locally.

This beautiful holiday home consists of one bedroom upstairs which can accommodate two people. It is ideal for a romantic getaway whatever the occasion.  Bed linen and towels are supplied free and a cot is available on request. The bedroom is bright, airy and spacious, all that you would expect from a luxurious selfcatering property. We can provide a single bed for a child if needed.

Many visitors enjoy the three kilometre walk to our local town of Borrisokane. Many looped walks via side roads provide an opportunity to explore the local countryside. For the energetic, we provide bicycles and route suggestions. A day spent exploring the bye roads, stopping to enjoy the lake and the flora and fauna of the lush farmland is very rewarding. There are many opportunities to break for refreshments and chats to the locals.

Friendly welcome; fire lit for my arrival. Very high standard of accommodation; well equipped and clean. Good position - isolated yet near town and very lovely scenery all around. Lovely private garden.

We liked it as it was out in the country and it was a good base for travelling around. I also liked the fact that they recycle everything. Gorgeous setting, lovely gardens just perfect.

This comfortable selfcatering property is family friendly with the added plus of a babysitting service available on request should the occasion arise. The holiday rental also has an open fireplace which is ideal for those cosy nights in with a glass of wine. The property is fitted with all modern conveniences including a microwave. The washing machine and tumble dryer are closeby in the laundry room. There is also a high chair and a cot available on request.
