Carrigeen Castle is situated just 1km from Cahir town centre in County Tipperary.
This charming historic home overlooks Cahir town and was built in 1600- 1800. Carrigeen Castle is spacious and comfortable and offers guests the very best in Irish hospitality. To ensure your comfort during your stay Carrigeen castle is centrally heated throughout. Each bedroom is beautifully furnished and is bright and airy. Many of the original features of the castle have been maintained such as the walled garden and the spiral stone stairways. The dining room and sitting room are again beautifully furnished and enjoy a relaxing ambience, a perfect place to unwind after a day touring the area. Cahir town enjoys beautiful scenery and is rich in historic sites such as the Swiss Cottage and Cahir Castle. Golf, hillwalking, fishing and scenic drives can all be enjoyed locally.

Carrigeen Castle was reasonably priced which gave us the opportunity to stay in a real castle on our visit to Ireland. We had a great stay there!

It was fun to spend the night in a castle. Our hostess was warm and chatty and made sure we had some ice for our drinks. There were several visitors for breakfast, but she made sure our requests were met perfectly. This is not a fancy place, but the exterior and entry make great photos!
