These modern self catering holiday cottages are situated in the heart of the luscious Glen of Aherlow Nature Park (one of Ireland’s best kept secrets!) surrounded by the impressive Galtee Mountains. This really is a hiking / cycling enthusiast’s paradise, nestling between Ireland’s highest inland mountain range and the thickly forested Slievenamuck Ridge. There are a variety of marked walk ways and cycle trails of varying difficulty, with stunning, panoramic views. There are a number of prehistoric and early Christian sites throughout the glen and guided walks can be booked locally. An alternative way to explore the mountains is on horseback, the Hillcrest Riding Centre in nearby Galbally gives riding lessons and treks for riders of all levels of ability.
The tributaries of the River Suir flow through The Glen of Aherlow and offer excellent trout and perch fishing. Visitors can also relax with a game of golf at a local course, enjoy a day at the Tipperary Racecourse or experience the lovely traditional pubs in the area.
