Abbey Court Lodge are situated just off the main Dublin to Limerick Road (N7) gateway to Lough Derg. It’s just 2 hours from Dublin and only half an hour from Limerick City.
From Dublin: Follow signs for the N7 by passing Naas, Kildare, Monsterevin and Portlaoise, entering Mountrath follow the signs for Limerick. By pass Roscrea, straight through Moneygall and Toomevara. Approx 2km outside Toomevara, take the slip road off the main N7 taking a left at the top of the road and straight into Nenagh Town. Abbey Court Hotel is located on the left hand side as you enter Nenagh.
From Limerick: At Finnegans Roundabout take the exit for Dublin, passing through Castleconnell and Birdhill (N7) approx. for 12km. Take the slip road from the N7 into Nenagh Town. Go through 3 roundabouts and at the third roundabout pass Dunnes Stores, take the first exit. At the 4th roundabout take the second exit and at the 5th roundabout take the first exit. At the 6th roundabout take the second exit which will take you out onto the Dublin Road. The Abbey Court Hotel is situated on the right hand side.

The busy town of Nenagh has a choice of interest and activities for visitors to the area. Step back in time as you visit Nenagh Castle or Nenagh Heritage Centre.

Golfers are never too far from their beloved sport since Nenagh Golf Club is a short distance away.

Lake Side Forest Walks
Lough Derg is set in some of Ireland's most beautiful countryside. Winding country roads encircle the lake. Forest walks have been developed on the shoreline.

Boating & Sailing
Explore the lake by boat. Enjoy some brisk sailing or take your ease in a fishing boat. The area of deep navigable non-tidal water exceeds 60 square miles.

Day Cruises on Lough Derg
There are several Lake Bus operations on Lough Derg. Cruise from Garrykennedy, Dromineer and Killaloe to nearby harbour villages. Cruise from Mountshannon to Holy Island, site of a 7th century monastic settlement. Contact us for additional details.

Lough Derg Sub-Aqua Club
Lough Derg Sub-Aqua Club is affiliated to IRISH UNDERWATER COUNCIL (C.F.T.). Open water snorkels takes place in Lough Derg. See the website for Lough Derg Sub-Aqua Club for additional information.

Golf
Nenagh Golf Club, Beechwood, Nenagh, Tipperary, 4 miles NE of Nenagh town, well signposted. Established in 1929, the course is set on free draining soil making it playable all year round.

Each house is designed to a four star standard and comes fully equipped with all modern conveniences. They consist of a modern and spacious lounge, large kitchen and dining area combined and an enclosed private decking to the rear of the lodges.

Dine or relax outdoors in the enclosed wooden-decked rear garden complete with garden furniture. Lodge guests can enjoy the facilities of the hotel including the Trinity Leisure Centre during their stay. Each Lodge/Apartment has outdoor Decking. Free WIFI - although signal in the Hotel is stronger Includes; full use of Trinity Leisure Club with 20m Pool, Steam Room, Sauna, Jacuzzi and Technogym.

For the Children, entry to the Rugrats kids club during holiday period. No changes or extra beds available in any of the lodges as the stairs is too narrow to move beds around. €8.00 per day electricity charged on all lodges (if guest staying a week or more than, reception will read the meter on arrival & departure & charged accordingly.

€100.00 security deposit to be paid on arrival if guest paying cash. No broadband or internet access available in any lodge - residents must use the broadband in reception. Cleaning service available. Pets not accepted - accept Guide Dogs Lodges are Non-Smoking - but guest’s allowed to smoke on the patio.
