Sligo is an important town between Lough Gill and the Atlantic Ocean and is built in the shadows of the awe inspiring Ben Bulben. W.B. Yeats is closely associated with the county of Sligo and his final resting place is at Drumcliffe in the North of the county. It was the beautiful Glencar Waterfall, which inspired Yeats to write his poem ‘The Stolen Child’, why not enjoy a family picnic in the area. Golf, angling and water sports facilities area all located nearby. When evening falls, take a stroll into Sligo town, which is just a five minute walk away, and experience all that this atmospheric town has to offer including its lively pubs and restaurants.
