The Book Nest was formed by Frank Kelly and Teresa Byrne to offer a superior level of Customer Service to the book lovers of Sligo and the North West of Ireland. The store is situated along the banks of the Garravogue River in Sligo City. Sligo was the inspiration for the most acclaimed of Irish poets, William Butler Yeats and the nobel laureate poet is buried only a few minutes from the City.

Since commencing business The Book Nest has gained for itself a reputation as, “the Friendliest Bookshop in Sligo”, but it is perhaps more famous for the efficiency of its service to customers. Since 1996 The Book Nest has built up strong connections with the many small publishers found in this great land of literature that is Ireland.
