Welcome Picture of Temple House
Ballymote
Sligo
Temple House is an elegant Irish Country manor located in the countryside setting of Ballymote in County Sligo. The family owned country house is situated on a 1200-acre estate. Close by the main house is Temple Lake and the ancient ruins of a 12th century castle built by the Knights Templar.
As soon as you drive through the gates of this property, you will feel like you have arrived somewhere very special, a bygone era with modern amenities.
The owners, the Percevals, have lived on the site since 1665 and welcome their guests with open arms. From the moment you enter Temple House to the moment you leave, you will feel like part of the family rather then a paying guest.
Enjoy genuine warmth and conversation with the owners of the country house while you sit back in the drawing room and enjoy a pre dinner drink with the other guests. The gourmet dinner is prepared lovingly with local ingredients and is served in the dining area where all the guests of the estate sit together and get to know each other – truly a unique experience.

Good Hotel Guide Recommended
Temple House is in scenic Yeats County where you can explore miles and miles of scenic routes and archaeological sites. Visit Glencar Waterfall where the poet W.B Yeats was inspired to write
‘Where the wandering water gushes
From the hills above Glen-Car,’

As well as beautiful scenic drives, Sligo also offers ancient Parkes Castle and Lissadell House. Day trips to the areas of Galway, Mayo, South Donegal and Fermanagh are within easy access and are well worth visiting. The owners would be happy to discuss possible route options with you so you get the best scenery on your travels.
Fishing can also be arranged from trout fishing on Lough Arrow and Lough Conn while salmon can be caught in the Moy and pike in Temple House Lake. Golf is another great pastime here in the West with challenging courses like Rosses Point nearby. Whatever you're interested in, whatever your reason for travelling to Leitrim, Temple House will exceed your expectation and have you returning year after year.
