This festival is held over the June bank holiday weekend that features a host of traditional Irish music, song and dance events. There are numerous events held specifically for children, as there are over 400 kids expected to attend. As well as the official opening, there will be a concert, a céilí, some street music and there will also be plenty of other informal events taking place on the spot throughout the weekend....

This 200 cycle stops over in Sligo in its long trek through the countryside starting at Enniskillen and passing through Carrick-on-Shannon on the way to Sligo on Day 1. On Day 2, it continues from Sligo, on through Manorhamiliton and Lough Melvin and finishing the 104 mile cycle in Enniskillen once more. This is the 4th year that the Blue Raincoat Theatre Company is presenting the annual Cairde. This festival is highlight of the local year offering an assorted programme of events including performance, music, workshop, exhibition and seminars. There will also be plenty for the kiddies so why not bring them along and have a fun weekend for all the family....

Queen Maeve International Summer School Festival of Irish Music and Song takes place in I.T. Ballinode, Sligo Town. This summer school is a week long series of master, advanced, intermediate and beginners classes in sean nos singing, tinwhistle, fiddle, flute, mixed instruments, bodhran and other instruments.
