Directions
The Mount Herbert Hotel is perfectly located near the city centre near the home of Irish rugby, Lansdowne Road. Situated in Ballsbridge, the RDS and Point Depot are easily accessible. You are on the correct side of the Liffey to easily get to Templebar, the centre of Dublin nightlife. For something less hectic Sandymount strand is nearby.
With the city's DART service providing a stop nearby, you will have easy access of the city centre and other areas of Dublin. If you are making your way out to the hotel, you can get off at Lansdowne Road Station. Outside, turn right and walk past the stadium and over the Dodder Bridge. The hotel is on your right.
The get to the hotel from Dublin city centre, with Trinity College being usually considered the city centre, head down past Merrion Square and continue down Northumberland Road. Turn left at Lansdowne Road and you will cross over the DART line and walk past the stadium and over the Dodder Bridge. The hotel is on your right.
Rooms
You will be delighted to see that the hotel's rooms have been designed for comfort and relaxation. Despite the fact that this is a city hotel you will still find the setting comfortable and peaceful. You will be enchanted by the renovated 19th Century buildings, with its contemporary interiors.
You may find it difficult to leave the opulent rooms with their cable televisions, direct-dial telephones and internet access. All the rooms are en-suite with a trouser press and a hair dryer. There are, of course, tea and coffee making facilities.
Facilities
The Mount Herbert Hotel provides guests with all the trimmings in the hotel's restaurant, The Brasserie. Here you will be spoiled for choice with a selection of delectable dishes and a range of European cuisine made from the highest quality Irish produce. The restaurant itself is over-looking the illuminated gardens and is open for those looking for an early dinner at 6pm and staying open till 9:30pm.
If you would prefer a quiet spot to chill out, the Tritonville Bar and Terrace is for you. With a nice selection on the menu, including soups, baguettes, grills, fish and chips and the Chef Special, you will not be found hungry.
