This festival is to commemorate the life of Douglas Hyde whom was the first President of Ireland and was also the founder of the Gaelic League. Hyde had a strong interest in the Irish language, music and cultral and this is celebrated in a annual festival.
The week long festival of traditional Irish music, art and culture is held at the start of evey July .
Tuition is given in Tin Whistle, Flute, Fiddle, Piano and Button Accordion and lots more each morning, with lectures in the afternoon. Recitals and concerts are held in the evening. Seisiuns held day and night.
