Lovely hotel friendly staff and lovely facilities, good enough location just off N6, need a car to get around as about 2 miles out of the centre of Athlone.

This hotel was adequate. The staff were friendly and the bar food and breakfast were very nice. The beds were big and comfortable. However it was obvious that there was a lack of organisation and the the staff were under pressure - there were weddings on both days of our stay and the reception/bar area is much too small to accomodate this. Plus there was an issue with the water pressure in the showers. The man on reception told me that this had happened before but that it would be looked into. It was fixed within 10 minutes.

The hotel is really nice. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful which was great. The food was really nice and the swimming pool was great. The only downside was there was a wedding on the Friday and Saturday night we stayed which was a bit frustrating. The hotel is also a bit outside of Athlone which means you have to drive or get a taxi into the town.
