Abbey Hotel Conference And Leisure This Charming 18th Century Manor House hotel is set idyllically on it's own private grounds and gardens. It was purchased in 1962 by the Grealy family who have established it into the exceptional hotel it is today. The Hotel takes its name from the 13th Century Dominican Abbey, founded in 1253 by Felim O'Connor the last high King of Connacht. The ruins of this Abbey can be seen from the hotel. The Hotels ambience is one of casual elegance in a timeless relaxed atmosphere, however it's facilities and the staff's personal yet professional approach make it one of the Midlands Premier Hotels.

The hotel is located on the Galway Road just after the County Library on the left hand side of the Road. The Hotel is surrounded by a stone wall and is opposite the Railway Station and a Londis Shop. Everything was good about this hotel, the food was great, friendly staff, great leisure facilities, kids club was excellent and a nice break for us, this hotel has a lovely feel about it we will return the next chance we get.
The hotel proudly offers a fabulous award winning Leisure facility with 20m Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steamroom, Jacuzzi and Gymnasium, residents can enjoy this facility. Our Restaurant continues to build on it's reputation for producing dishes prepared from only the finest produce, while the Bar offers a cosy retreat and a more traditional option serving bar food Sunday - Friday. The hotel has six Function Rooms available to accommodate meetings from 2 - 300 persons. All rooms equipped with Screen, Flip Chart and Air-conditioning. Fantastic lunch, dinner and overnight rates available for delegates attenting a conference.
