This Charming 18th Century Manor House hotel is set idyllically on it's own private grounds and gardens. It was purchased in 1962 by the Grealy family who have established it into the exceptional hotel it is today.
The Hotel takes its name from the 13th Century Dominican Abbey, founded in 1253 by Felim O'Connor the last high King of Connacht.The ruins of this Abbey can be seen from the hotel.
The Hotels ambience is one of casual elegance in a timeless relaxed atmosphere, however it's facilities and the staff's personal yet professional approach make it one of the Midlands Premier Hotels.

Directions to the Abbey Hotel Conference And Leisure
On the outskirts of Roscommon Town, follow signposts for the N63 or Galway. The hotel is located on the Galway Road just after the County Library on the left hand side of the Road. The Hotel is surrounded by a stone wall and is opposite the Railway Station and a Londis Shop. Specific directions from the various Airports and Ports can be obtained from the Hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was wonderful. I would stay at the hotel again.

Friendly staff and good service. The radiator in our room didn't work at first but this was quickly fixed. The leisure centre is a real asset, make time to use the pool!
