For the 2009 Photography Awards, we asked all amateur photographers to capture a photo that showed the beauty of Ireland's villages, towns and cities
We wanted entrants to share the remarkable and beautiful things in Ireland that evoke surprise and admiration among Irish people and visitors alike.
The overall winning photograph and 11 runners-up will become part of history by being reproduced in an original John Hinde calendar.
