Why not make a visit to the birthplace of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey and Irish Mist Liqueur? Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, home to the world’s second favourite Irish whiskey, Tullamore Dew, and also home to Ireland’s premier whiskey liqueur Irish Mist tells the history of these two world exports alongside an extensive exhibition on the development of Tullamore town, now a prosperous and rapidly expanding economic centre in the Midlands.
The Heritage Centre is located in a beautifully restored bonded warehouse, built on the banks of the Grand Canal in 1897. The Heritage Centre is open 7 days a week on a year round basis. Guided tours are available daily at 11.30am and 2.30pm. Tours are also available, upon request, in French, German, Polish and Spanish. Visitors may also opt for a self-guided tour thus allowing him or herself the opportunity to visit the exhibition at his or her own personal pace. Visitors, on a self-guided tour, are provided with a clear easy-to-follow guidebook which directs the visitor around the exhibition.
