South of Birr, first left after County Arms Hotel.

This picturesque town is one of Ireland's finest Georgian towns in Ireland and includes a wide variety of fine restaurants, traditional Irish pubs, delightful river walks and heritage trails. Birr Castle is open all year and its gardens of beautiful plants, rare shrubs and trees are considered the best in Europe.
