The countryside surrounding this apartment, features breathtaking inland scenery and historical attractions. The nearby River Shannon and its tributaries provide opportunities for cruising, sailing and fishing while the mountains, pastures and bogs provides a perfect landscape for rambling, climbing, horse riding and cycling. This holiday home is located just 1km from Kinnitty Castle, which was once the seat of O’Carrolls of Ely. Other historical attractions to visit include the well preserved ruins of the monastic settlement in Clonmacnoise, Birr Castle and Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre. Because of its central location in the midlands, this accommodation can also be used as a cosy and relaxing base for touring.
