Enfield harbour is on what is known as the canal's long level. This is a 22 mile stretch of canal, without the hindrance of lock gates. A boat trip along this stretch which passes through some of the most serene and pleasant countryside is highly recommended. One can stop at any point to do a spot of coarse fishing for which the canal and this stretch in particular is famous....
