Donaghmore
Navan,Meath
Donaghmore, site of an Early Christian settlement. A fine round tower probaly tenth century remain. The doorway, twelve feet from the ground, has inclined jambs and a semicircular head; on the keystone is scultpured a figure of a crucified christ, and on each side of the architrave is a sculptured human head. There are also some remains of a 15th century church near by....
