Description
A regular bus service to Dublin, which only takes about 40 minutes, passes the door and the train station is only 2 km away. While staying in the B&B you can cross the road and walk the beautiful beach with views of the Mourne Mountains to the north and Skerries to the south. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and come equipped with en-suite facilities, TV and hospitality tray. The non-smoking home even has ample private parking.
Throughout your stay at Highfield House you have the perfect opportunity to discover the ‘Boyne Valley’, Newgrange, Trim, Tara, Monasterboice, Melifont and Ardgillan Gardens. If you decide to visit the area in September you will see the popular Laytown Beach Races, the only National Hunt race meeting in Ireland run on a beach. The Community Games happen in nearby Mosney in May and August. There are a wide variety of award winning restaurants and café bars within walking distance of the B&B. If the day is raining, why not take the kids to Funtasia – it’s sure to entertain. For those of you “whose eyeballs are vexed and tired” (Keats), why not come relax here at Highfield House.
