Croagh Patrick is located about 8km from Westport on the Louisburgh Road. Croagh Patrick is a sacred and beautiful hill. Croagh Patrick Visitor Centre is located in Murrisk on the Pilgrim's path at the base of Croagh Patrick. It's opposite the National Famine Monument.

Westport House is one of Ireland's finest 18th Century historic homes. It was built on the site of a castle owned by pirate queen Grainne Uaile, a bronze statue of whom stands in the grounds of Westport House.
