Westport is a fantastic family holiday destination and here, overlooking the harbour, you’ll find The Helm – a superb apartment complex providing self catering accommodation. Number 3 The Helm is a comfortable one bedroom apartment with an en suite bathroom.

There is also a fully fitted kitchen and a telephone for guest use - incoming calls only. In addition, all towels and bed linen are complimentary while the apartment is heated by electric central heating. Furthermore, guests can use the leisure facilities and swimming pool at the nearby hotel. This is a superb location for an angling holiday and fishing equipment can be organised. The Helm can also arrange sightseeing trips of Clew Bay and if you get the chance, Clare Island, the largest island in Clew Bay, is well worth a visit. For the golf enthusiast Westport Golf Club, an 18 hole championship course, is the perfect place to brush up on your golfing skills. Climbing Croagh Patrick can be challenging but is a wonderful experience on a sunny day. After all this, you can retreat to the adjacent bar and restaurant to rest your weary bones.

i booked a 1 bed appt and when i arrived they gave me a 2 bed at no extra cosr. very friendly and welcoming. a few little things not working, eg kettle and shower but managed. would go again.
