Tearmon is a fabulous self catering holiday rental located in the unspoilt area of Belmullet in the north west corner of County Mayo. Located in the area of special conservation (SAC) The Bird Sanctuary which surrounds the cottage fills the air with sweet sounds to enhance and enliven the inner spirit. From the living room you can enjoy the spectacular view of wild waves lashing Southport rocks while in the mezzanine the view of the boats in the tranquil Frenchport restores the inner calm, which we all deserve.

Directions

As you enter Belmullet from Ballina take the third exit off the square and drive past the Eurospar on the left then take an immediate left and drive half a km around by the seafront where you take the first right. Drive 6km to Corclough Village passing Lavelles pub and grocery, after one km take a left, then a right, then a left and then a right and find Tearmon as the first house on the right.

Description

The stunning cottage consists of two well appointed bedrooms. The house commands spectacular views of rolling green pastures and wonderful seascapes. The property is very well maintained with a beautifully equipped kitchen as well as a gallery area overlooking it. The living room is quite spacious and the first thing you notice is the charming black stove wrapped in an authentic stone surround. There is sufficient parking around the home but unfortunately, the home is not suitable for children. There is no doubt that Tearmon is the perfect place to get some well deserved peace and tranquillity. The unspoilt Barony of Erris area is known for its spectacular scenery, serene islands and the further afield blanket bogs – the largest area of bogland in Europe. Belmullet has miles of wonderful beaches where the wild Atlantic waters crash up against the rugged coastline. Hit the Carn Golf Club and try to master the challenging terrain designed by the famous Eddie Hackett. Transport yourself far away from the pressures of a busy and stressful life and get reenergised in refreshing Mayo.
