3* Saint Catherine's bed and breakfast is a beautiful family home that is nicely set apart from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. It's located near Aughagower just outside of Westport Town, County Mayo. Aughagower is a quaint little hamlet that is dominated by the thousand year old round tower. Saint Catherine's bed and breakfast is located close to Westport Country Lodge Hotel .

Driving from Castlebar into Westport Town at the Traffic Lights [ Castle Court hotel] turn left up to round about, turn left on Ballinrobe Road L330, continue on by railway station for approx 1.5 miles, pass Morans garage on the left, Continue on straight stretch of road and at the sign for Saint Catherine's turn right and keep right for 1.5 miles and the house is on the right hand side.
All three rooms are conveniently located on the ground floor. Outside there's plenty private parking for guest use and there is also a very nice mature garden for you to take a stroll in. Aughagower Village is supposedly where Saint Patrick slept the night before he headed up the holy mountain of Croagh Patrick. Perhaps you could retrace his steps as so many pilgrims have done. Mayo is home to many rivers and lakes making it one of the best fishing spots in Ireland. There are also numerous golf courses in the area. It's a fantastic base for exploring the unspoilt landscape of Connemara. New hotel nearby 'Westport Country Lodge'.
