nephin mts

This is a majestic mountain that can be seen for miles around. tThe climb will take 4 hours as it reaches a height  of 2654 feet. The entrance up to the mountains is at Purglish forest and you can park your car here. The mountain may be difficult for some climbers as most of the summit is made up of scree and rocky bolders.

As you climb the mountain you will come across many cairns (acient burial tombs). As you get to the top, the climb becomes much easier as the graident is much gentler.

At the top you can see Lough Conn,  and on a very clear day you can see as far as the Donegal Mts and Connemara on the other side.

The return journey is back down the same way yo Purglish forest to your car.
