Inishfree House is a family run guesthouse, comprising of four ensuite rooms, situated right in the heart of the old Guinness Estate at Ashford, just 1.5km from the picturesque and historic Cong village. Just a short walk from the world renowned Ashford Castle Hotel and also the "Quiet Man" film locations. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of mature forest where there are many woodland walks.
The house, built by the Guinness family approximately 170 years ago, is operating as a Guesthouse since 1988 where its owner Michael and Kathleen Walsh have been welcoming people from all over the world and helping them to make their stay more enjoyable. Nestling between the two most beautiful angling lakes, Lough Corrib and Lough Mask, it is also the gateway to Connemara and only a 40 minute drive to Galway City. Suitable location for angling, walking, cycling, horseriding and many other activities.
