Moss Green River Banks run along the heather clad hill sides and misty mountains of County Mayo. These rich country hues and textures together with our seafaring traditions have been the inspiration for our Irish Sweaters for generations.
Description
Carraig Donn was founded by the Hughes family with many of its thirteen children involved in this successful family craft enterprise, carrying on a tradition in the making of Irish Clothing and Knitwear stretching back over a century. The creation of a Carraig Donn sweater begins with grazing sheep high on heather covered hills. Come summer the sheep are shorn and a fine supply of quality wool is spun and dyed. Beautiful Aran creations are then knitted by the local people of County Mayo and the Aran Islands. The Knitwear as portrayed is now available in many leading Irish and international fashion shops as well as our own craft outlets throughout Ireland. Carraig Donn prides itself on being the first Irish Knitwear company to achieve the ISO 9002 Quality Standard Award underlining our commitment to customer satisfaction. Our garments stand out in the market place for top quality knitwear in natural fibres.
