Getting here......

Access by air: Fly into Ireland West Airport Knock ( 1.5hr drive ), Shannon Airport ( 3.5hr drive ), Sligo Airport or Galway Airport ( 2hr drive ) and Dublin Airport (4.5hr drive ). A hotel bus service is available to guests from these locations..

Access by Sea: Irish Ferries, Stena, Sealink, Swansea / Cork Ferries.

Access by Road: Ballina and Castlebar are the major road gateways. These can be reached from Dublin by following signs for the N5 and after Swinford  ( if going through Ballina ) exit the N5 for the N26. At Ballina ( Mayo ) exit the N26 for the N59. At Bangor exit the N59 for the R313.

Access by Rail: Irish Rail ( Iarnród Éireann ) daily trains from Dublin to Castlebar or Dublin to Ballina.

Access by Bus: Bus Éireann provides a service twice daily in July and August. Otherwise the service runs once a day.

Within Walking Distance

 

 

In the town of Belmullet which is within walking distance of the Broadhaven Bay Hotel there are many pubs and restautants as well as shops, hairdressers, beauticians, chemists and hardware stores. There is also a playground for the kiddies and a tennis court to keep them entertained for a few hours. The local church is in the town and two Doctor's surgery's. There is a library and tourst office where you can find out whats goin on in the area.

Sea Angling can be done from Blacksod (25 mins by car), Ballyglass (15 mins by car) or from the islands on "An Gearóidín" 40ft boat owned by the hotel.

Uisce Adventure centre is about 15mins by car from the hotel and you can do all types of water sports from sailing, surfing,kayaking, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

For the keen Golfer you can play at Carne Golf Links which is an 18 hole golf links and is situated 3km from the hotel.

If you would prefer to do a spot of bowling you can visit the bowling ally at the Gateway in Attycunnane which is about five minutes drive from the hotel.

Duvillaun Horse Riding is about 15 minutes by car from the hotel and is great for a family day out or for a small group of friends.

Repéchage products are used by the Spa as they contain a high precentage of seaweed and the client really feel the effects. At Broadhaven Bay Hotel all our guests can avail of our Éalú Health & Leisure Centre. Relax in our 25m heated swimming pool. You can also enjoy our sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. Children have full access to the kiddies pool. Life guards are on duty at all times while pool is open. 

If you are into keeping fit you can work up a sweat in our fully equipped gymnasuim.

Bike hire and helmets  are also available at the hotel  for the keen cyclist. Maps are available for the different cycling/walking loops. You can enjoy a number of different cycling/walking routes and the hotel bus will pick you up and bring you back to the hotel if you wish.

If you wish to do some fishing or visit the Islands of Inis Gé or Inis Glora  we will arrange with our Skipper to take you out on the hotel's 40ft boat "An Gearóidín".
