The town of Newport is a small picturesque town, which is located on the north-east corner of Clew Bay. St Patrick’s Catholic church towers high above the town and is an excellent example of the Irish Romanesque style. Princess Grace’s father was from Newport and she and her husband prince Rainier were frequent visitors to the area. Cruising Mayo has a breathtaking coastline and beautiful inland waterways. Why not enjoy a cruise and capture the true beauty of this area, which are available locally.
