The owners of the B&B previously owned Hillcrest Bed and Breakfast but even though the name and location has changed the friendly atmosphere and professional service remains the same. Each of the guest rooms are individually decorated and come with en-suite facilities as well as hospitality tray, TV and hair dryer. There is an electric iron and ironing board also available on request. Sit back and relax in the guest TV lounge while you catch up on the days events. Enjoy a hearty breakfast on each morning of your stay, which is served in the delightful dining rooms. Private parking is available on site and it is a non-smoking premises.
Castlebar is a wonderful town ideally situated to tour the west and northwest of Ireland. The town has numerous attractions to keep you and your family entertained throughout your stay. Local attractions include Ballintuber Abbey, The Ceide Fields, Croagh Patrick, Foxford Woollen Mills, Moore Hall, Pontoon and the Turlough Round Tower. You might be in the area during the festivals that include the International Four Days Walks, The Blues Festival and The Heritage Day. Castlebar has a variety of great activities in an unspoilt and rugged environment – all the ingredients for a memorable holiday in the West of Ireland.
When travelling to Castlebar, look for signs directing you to Newport or Achill. Follow the signs and when you reach Newport Road, the B&B is located past Edward Conway’s Citroen Garage on the right hand side.
